Always stay at my favorite place in Matlock. First visit, staff kindly helped me find my way. Has Wi-Fi, free parking, electric kettle, flat-screen TV. Love the fishing and that pets are allowed. No smoking. Coming back for Easter!

The view from the cottage was absolutely beautiful, overlooking the lake and providing a serene atmosphere. The spaciousness of the property allowed for plenty of room to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-equipped, making meal preparation a breeze. The heating system was fantastic, ensuring a warm and cozy stay. The bathrooms were great, with ample indoor seating for everyone.
In my stay, I experienced the discomfort of the settee, which was not suitable for sitting on for extended periods of time. However, the staff were quick to respond to this issue and provided a mattress topper for the main double bed, making it more comfortable.

Lovely lake view, free parking and WiFi. Felt like a detective trying to find my cottage in the dark and rain. Great experience!
Floorboards made a lovely symphony, felt like I was walking on a haunted house. Too bad they didn't fix that.

Additionally, I appreciated the convenience of being close to both Bakewell and Matlock, allowing for easy access to nearby attractions.
Almost perfect, but there was an inconsiderate person playing music late at night, disrupting the peaceful ambiance.

The location of the property overlooking the lake was super. Absolutely loved the walk around the lake. The cottage itself was lovely looking although dated and situated beautifully opposite the lake.
The settee was not comfortable to sit on for more than 30 mins for both me and my wife. The main double bed mattress was not at all comfortable and springs could be felt.

Great location with a beautiful lake nearby, perfect for multiple walks a day. the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the cottage was warm and conveniently situated.
The main double bed was uncomfortable and unstable, causing disturbances during the night. the overall decor of the accommodation was tired and in need of updating, with rusted radiators and broken furniture.
